From the AAEC Editorial Cartoon Collection; Cartoon by Eddie Germano. George Wallace is shown dressed in colonial costume standing on a tree stump, ringing a bell with one hand and holding a long sheet of paper in the other hand. Wallace says, "Heah ye...heah ye." The paper in one hand is labeled, "Ballot...Signatures for president." Around the stump on the ground are the names of cities in Massachusetts, "Middleboro, Whitman, Rockland, Stoughton, Weymouth, Plymouth." The cartoon caption reads, "On the stump."
