He earned a degree from Mississippi Industrial College and took courses at the University of Minnesota. For many years he taught school in Meridian, Mississippi. During the 1960s, he became active with the NAACP and worked for school desegregation. Mr. Clark continues to live in Meridian where he operates a funeral home.
