Oral history.; Julian Glenn Brunt was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas in 1951. His father was a career Army officer who served in the chemical corps, and the family was stationed in Pine Bluff, Washington, D.C., Heidelberg, Germany, Puerto Rico, and eventually, Mississippi. After finishing college at the University of Maryland, Brunt continued to travel extensively and held several positions in retail management. In 1994, after settling down in Biloxi, Brunt made the acquaintance of Lyle Bongé who had just inherited a collection of his mother, Dusti Bongé's artwork. Brunt offered to help him manage the collection and founded the Dusti Bongé Foundation.

Oral history.; On April 8, 1927, Dr. Pete Walker was born in Lumberton, Mississippi. When Dr. Walker was four years old, his mother passed away. As a child, Dr. Walker worked in his father's cafes. Dr. Walker attended Jones County Junior College on a football scholarship; he attended Mississippi State on a football scholarship and graduated with an undergraduate degree in physical education. He earned his master's degree in counseling and testing and his doctorate in school administration with a minor in psychology. From 1952 to 1964, he taught and coached in public school. From 1965 to 1986, he was an administrator and teacher at Delta State University. For two years, Dr. Walker was in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a U.S. Army corporal and a first lieutenant in the Reserves. He is currently retired and pursues his interests of golf, fishing, and photography. He is a member of the Lion's Club.

Oral history.; Ms. Lucy Hutton-Seaberry-Moore was born on October 17, 1945, in Cleveland, Mississippi. In 1964, Ms. Hutton-Seaberry-Moore graduated from Eastside High School; she then attended Coahoma Junior College and Delta State University. She was the first African-American student to enter Delta State University, and she played intramural sports there in the 1960s. As an activist in the Civil Rights Movement, Ms. Hutton-Seaberry-Moore attended rallies, and alongside Amzie Moore and Northern volunteers, she taught adult literacy to facilitate voter registration during the 1960s. In 1968, Ms. Hutton-Seaberry-Moore was graduated from Delta State University and returned to Eastside High School as a coach. Hutton-Seaberry-Moore discusses her childhood, participation in the civil rights movement, attendance at Delta State University, and coaching career.

Oral history.; Ms. Margaret Lumpkin Martin was born in Tupelo, Mississippi, on February 16, 1910. In 1928 she graduated from Tupelo High School and began a forty-six year career at Citizens State Bank in Tupelo. In 1932, Ms. Martin was working at the bank when Machine Gun Kelly and his gang of outlaws robbed Citizens State Bank in Tupelo. Later, Ms. Martin was working in the bank when President Roosevelt declared a banking holiday, and banks closed for a week. Ms. Martin is a member of the Pilot Club and the Mississippi Group National Association Bankers Women, Inc.

Oral history.; Reverend Kenneth Haynes Sr. was born October 11, 1930, in Amite County, Mississippi. In 1958, he entered the ministry, enrolling in Harper Baptist College where he received a Diploma in Christian Education and a Doctorate of Divinity. Later he earned a Bachelor's degree in Theology and a Master's degree in Theology. He is an alumni of the Christian Training Center in Los Angeles, California, and an alumni of the Family Life Conference and Campus Crusade for Christ International Extension. Since 1962, he has been the pastor of several churches. He has received several awards for his religious and civic activities.

Oral history.; Reverend Robert L. Hartenfeld was born on February 19, 1935, in Pemberville, Ohio. He earned a B.A. from Capital University and a Master's of Theology from Trinity Seminary of Columbus, Ohio. Reverend Hartenfeld helped to start up several churches, began a program of visitation and worship services in a maximum security prison, counseled with the terminally ill, worked to reopen schools after New York Central went bankrupt, and joined in spearheading the Long Beach Food Pantry. After his retirement from the ministry, Reverend Hartenfeld began working with Loaves and Fishes, an institution running four soup kitchens on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
