One jet is labeled "Commercial flights to the U.S." and the other, "Commercial flights to Russia." A man watches from behind the globe, smiling. The ice is melting. The cartoon caption reads, "It's better exchanging passengers."

From the AAEC Editorial Cartoon Collection. Cartoon by Eldon Pletcher. A donkey is visiting a fortune-teller and is seated at a table on which stands a crystal ball. The fortune-teller is also seated at the table and both are looking at the crystal ball. The donkey is holding a piece of paper that reads "Chicago phone deadlock" and is saying, "Certainly, I want to know who'll get the nomination...but, right now I'd like to know where the convention's going to be held?" The cartoon caption reads, "First things first."

One head is well outside the orbit and is thumbing its nose at Brezhnev. Another head is also moving out of the orbit. Brezhnev's head has an arm sticking out that is holding a note: "Orbital Czech-list." The cartoon caption reads, "The satellite system."
