Oral history.; Interview conducted on August 31, 1995 with long-time civil rights activist Ms. Winson Hudson. In 1956 her community challenged the enforcement of the "separate but equal" provision of Brown v. Board of Education. When local banks took retaliatory measures against civil rights activists, Ms. Hudson testified before the U.S. Civil Rights commission. She is the author of A Lonely Walk to the Courthouse.
