The donkey's head is over a fence which has a sign that reads, "Custer's Peanut Farm." The donkey is trying to rech the small peanut plants. A line of utility poles is in the background. One pole has two signs: "Harris...Go Wallace." A barn is in the far background. The cartoon caption reads, "Hey, watch it!...There may be greener pastures ahead."

There are a few people at other desks and at the central dais, but they all appear to be bored or asleep. The man poised to read his speech says to the others, "Gentlemen, you'll do well to pay closer attention. Tonight this same speech is costing two thousand dollars!"

Oral history.; Mr. George A. Stevens was born in 1910 in Forrest County, Mississippi. He attended Hattiesburg public schools but graduated from high school in Anthony, New Mexico. Mr. Stevens returned to attend The University of Southern Mississippi and then taught languages and coached sports at public schools. In World War II, Mr. Stevens joined the U.S. Navy as an intelligence officer. He served aboard the aircraft carrier Essex in the South Pacific. He returned to active duty during the Korean conflict and was a member of the Naval Reserve, eventually accumulating almost thirty years of service. After World War II, Mr. Stevens entered public relations and worked for Mississippi Governor Paul B. Johnson Jr. to establish and operate an international marketing division of the Mississippi Marketing Council. Mr. Stevens directed efforts to locate foreign markets for Mississippi's agricultural and industrial products until his retirement in 1976.

Richard Nixon reclines on a sofa with a book titled The Final Days, written by Woodward and Bernstein, lying open face down on his body. Behind the sofa, a series of four pictures (i.e., a motion picture frame sequence) hang on the wall showing Nixon rising from a volcano and signing the peace symbol with both hands. On an end table at Nixon's feet stands a lamp. The lamp base is an elephant with Nixon on its back, and he is making the V for Victory sign with both hands. In front of the sofa, Nixon's left hand rests on the back of a dog with a piece of paper in its mouth that reads, "All the president's men." Pat Nixon, with her hand over the mouth of the telephone receiver, says,"Somebody from Warner Brothers wants to know if you're interested in a movie contract."
