From the Alexander Melvorne Jackson Papers. A letter from [L. C. Wall?] to [C. F. Crutcher?] regarding family.

July 11

From the AAEC Editorial Cartoon Collection. Cartoon by Eldon Pletcher. Louisiana governor John McKeithen stands at the base of a very tall mountain. He is injured and weary. He is leaning on a crutch and one leg is in a cast. He carries a climbing rope and wears a backpack labeled "Tax increases." He holds a sign on a post that reads, "I haven't abandoned hope, but..." Stars around his head indicate he is dazed. The tallest mountain in the cartoon is labeled "2/3 legislative approval." The cartoon caption reads, "Because it's still there, that's why?"
