From the Adams (Victoria Gray) Papers. <br>Decision of the United States Court of Appeals, 5th Circuit, in the case of Fannie Lou Hamer, et all., vs. Cecil C. Campbell, et al., handed down on March 11, 1966. The Court ruled to postpone the upcoming election of municipal officials in Sunflower County, Mississippi, on the grounds that some citizens of that county were denied the right to register to vote because of racial discrimination.

A man labeled "Interest Rates" grips the rope by which the other two men are connected. He stabilizes the third man labeled "Stock Market," who has lost his grip on the cliff and dangles at the end of the rope.

From the AAEC Editorial Cartoon Collection. Cartoon by Ed Valtman. In the first of four frames, Uncle Sam offers to hold his umbrella over a woman labeled "France" as rain begins to fall. In the second frame, they walk together under the umbrella labeled "NATO," her arm in his. In the third frame, they notice the rain is stopping. In the final frame, with the sun shining, the woman tells a shocked Uncle Sam to "Get lost." The cartoon caption reads, "The rainy days are over."

A dove is perched on the edge of a nest, which has four large eggs that are marked with symbols of bombs and olive branches. The hawk says to the dove, "Well, now, let's see what hatches."
