From the Map Collection. A maps showing a section of shoreline with two ports and the position of two cutters. "The Form of Cruising Off ACAPULCA on the COAST of MEXICO in the SOUTH SEAS, in the Year 1742. by his Majesty's Ships, Centurion, Gloucester, Tryall Prize, Carmila Prize, Carmin Prize. C. The Cutters belonging to the Centurion and Gloucester which kept 4 1/2 Leagues from the Shore in the Day, and close In in the Night, to watch the Motions of the Manila Ship." Scale of leagues.

Includes three sections showing Pensacola, Tallahassee, and the Harbour of St. Augustine in detail. Across the top and bottom of the map are tables listing the distances of the routes from various stops along the river. On top "Tanner's Universal Atlas." On bottom "Entered according to Act of Congress, in the year 1833, by H.S. Tanner, in the Clerks Office of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Published by H.S. Tanner Philadelphia."

From the Map Collection. Map of a stretch of the Mississippi River from Sargent's Bend to Grand Gulf that shows changes in the course of the river from the Davis Cut Off in 1867 to 1874. Surveys were completed in 1866 by Green, Porter, etc., with engineers M.J. Thompson and G.W.R. Bayley. River course data were compiled by A.F. Wrotnowski.
