Oral history.; Interview conducted with Mamie Mazique on November 26, 1996. Mrs. Mamie Lee Mazique was born on a small farm in Jefferson County, Mississippi. She lived with an older sister in Natchez where she attended St. Francis Catholic School and graduated from Brumfield High School. During the civil rights movement, she met many of the movement leaders at her sister's restaurant.
