Description: Oral history.; Interview conducted in March 2007 with Minnie McFarland Weeks at her home in West Point, Mississippi. Weeks was born April 25, 1926 in Clay County, Mississippi. She describes race relations growing up in Mississippi, but also her experiences of civil rights activism in the late 1950s-1960s. She also discusses her work as a seamstress and her work taking laundry.
