Description: Oral history.; Transcript of interview conducted February 16, 2001 in Claiborne County. Annie Jones Wade was born in Claiborne County on May 14, 1915 to Marcus D. Jones and Annie Wade. She attended school in Jefferson County. She married Charlie Wade on June 8, 1940. She built her career around doing housework for several members of the community. After Wade retired, she remained active in the community. She attended Rising Sun Baptist Church where she was involved in church work, yard work, collecting, and Sunday school.
