Oral history.; Interview conducted on December 12, 1995 in Ripley, Mississippi, at the home of Gwendolyn Colom. He discusses coming of age during the civil rights movement and how he came to civil rights activism. In particular, he locates specific activist efforts, including integrating the Ripley Theatre and swimming pool. Colom discusses his continued involvement in activism and how it changed over time through the 1970s.
