Description: Oral history.; Frank Bridges was born in 1923 in Biloxi, Mississippi. He served during World War II in Guadalcanal and Guam. After returning from the war, he worked a few odd jobs before moving to Chicago. After a brief stay, he returned to his native Biloxi. He became involved with the civil rights movement and Dr. Gilbert Mason's Biloxi Beach wade-ins.
