Description: From the AAEC Editorial Cartoon Collection; Cartoon by Jon Kennedy. Alabama Governor George Wallace speaks to a packed audience from a proscenium stage while standing at a podium with microphones. The floorboards behind Wallace are labeled "Wallace appeal to South." A circle of the floorboards is being sawn from beneath and when complete, the cut area will encircle Wallace and the podium. The line left by the saw is labeled, "Nixon's strong stance on law and order, crime". The cartoon caption reads, "Closing the ring."
