Oral history.; Interview with Harry Kegler conducted on March 22, 2000. Harry Kegler was born in Grenada, Mississippi in 1949. He joined the struggle for civil rights and worked with several leaders of the movement including: Hosea Williams, Andy Young, Reverend Abernathy, Dr. King and others. Kegler discusses participating in the Meredith March, and the Mule Train (SCLC Poor People's Campaign, 1968). He recalls being arrested in Jackson at the age of 14, and participating in a hunger strike in jail. He also discusses the Black Power movement and Malcolm X.
